SAY GOODBYE TO FIBROID PAIN, WITHOUT SURGERY
Uterine Fibroid Embolisation (UFE) is a minimally invasive alternative to surgery that shrinks fibroids by blocking their blood supply, relieving symptoms like heavy bleeding and pain with quicker recovery.
wOMENS HEALTH
Uterine fibroids are non-cancerous growths that can develop in the uterus. They are made up of muscle and fibrous tissue and can vary in size, ranging from tiny to quite large. Fibroids can cause symptoms such as heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, and pressure, and can also lead to fertility problems.
Uterine Fibroid Embolisation
Uterine Fibroid Embolisation is a life-changing alternative to a hysterectomy, freeing the patient from the pain and discomfort associated with Fibroids, all while preserving the uterus. Many of our patients have gone on to have children post UFE, making this procedure a good fit for women who wish to mitigate infertility as a result of fibroids.

STEP 1
During UFE, a thin tube called a catheter is inserted via the wrist, and guided by fluoroscopic (X-ray) images to the blood vessels that feed the fibroids.

STEP 2
Tiny particles are injected to stop blood flow to the fibroids.

STEP 3
These particles cut off blood flow, and over the next 6 months cause your fibroids to shrink and eventually disappear.
